77 people asked you to call.

I remember joining my first company where I was required to start "signing up" people in my downline.

I was living in Denver, Colorado from 1984 thru 1987. I had met a man that was making 2 million dollars a year and he said if I did what he told me to do, I could make 2 million dollars a year also.

He told me to pick up business cards from successful looking people, quickly introduce myself, and then leave. Later I was to call and remind them of our quick meeting.

I spent mornings going to coffee shops, sitting down next to successful looking people, briefly asking what they do, getting their business card, saying good bye, and moving to the next coffee shop.

I did this mornings when people were on their way to their jobs, lunch, and evenings. I collected on average over 50 cards per day.

But the real problem was when I called them back. None of them were interested in having their own business. At least not with me.

After 2 weeks of working VERY VERY hard at this process, and still having NO ONE interested in my new networking business, I contacted my sponsor for advice.

My sponsor told me I was just not talking to enough people. I thanked him for his advice.

And then I went to Dunkin Donuts to have coffee and think. (I get a lot of creative thinking accomplished at coffee shops).

Not contacting enough people? Wow. That could not be it. I think I set some kind of record collecting 50 business cards a day from total strangers.

I had about 500 business cards. If I had to contact more than 500 people to get someone interested, I was either offering the wrong product, I was not offering my product in the correct way, or I was not finding the right kind of people.

My sponsor had to be wrong.

So I thought, I am going to try this a different way. I am going to get people to ask ME to contact them, instead of me asking THEM if I can contact them.

So the question was, how do I get people to ask me?

I figured out how to do it. It was not easy.

How I got people to ask me, is not the point of this story. But I will tell you, it was a heck of a lot easier, more fun, and much more profitable then spending my entire day trying to find someone who was interested in having their own business.

Now, I know you are considering your own business. That is why you are on my list. You may already be in the process of starting your own business.

So let me ask you, do you want to spend your entire day looking for someone who is interested in joining your business, or would you prefer to have someone ask YOU to call them about your business?

I have 77 people for you that have asked you to call about getting their own business.

If you are in my downline for GDI, or if you will join GDI in my downline, I will give you these 77 people.

And guess what, after you return the phone call to these 77 people, I will give you more.

How many more? That is up to you.

Now I am sure you are thinking, "Tim, I know you are going to hit me here with a special offer of the first 77 free and then I have to pay."

But I am not.

This may seem nuts to you. But think about this.

For every member that joins my downline in GDI, I get paid $1 per month. So do you. I get the same amount per month on members that you sign up as the ones I signup.

I have become very good at finding people that are interested in having their own business. So good in fact there is no way I can contact them all myself. These people want a return phone call from a real live person.

Look at this from my point of view. If I can get more people that want a phone call about having their own business than I can possibly contact by myself, what do I do with those extras?

I could sell them. sure.

But what if instead I got them to join my business and earn $1 or more per month from them for the rest of their life?

And, if I get the same amount per month if YOU sign them up, why wouldn't I just give you the leads?

This is a win-win situation.

So the question is. Do you want to call these 77 people? And after you call those 77 people, will you help me call the other people that will be asking for a return phone call?

If I can give you all the people that you want to contact, and if I promise to keep you and your downline as busy as you want to be contacting these people, will you do it?
